Best Black Friday streaming service deals
Did you know you can subscribe to streaming services like Apple TV Plus, Paramount Plus and Max via Prime Video? These add-on subscriptions typically cost the same as they would outside of Prime Video, but you can save on some of them right now ahead of Black Friday.
Prime Video customers can sign up for the following add-ons and get a two-month discount: Paramount Plus, MGM Plus, AMC Plus, Discovery Plus, Crunchyroll, Starz, Hallmark Plus, Cinemax, ViX Premium, BritBox, PBS Masterpiece, Acorn TV and more. After the months are up, you'll pay the standard price for the service unless you cancel. The amount you pay for the two months varies -- for MGM Plus, it's $1.75 per month; for Paramount Plus, it's $3 -- so head to Prime Video's site if you're curious.
Live TV streaming service Fubo offers three main packages, with a base plan that provides more than 200 channels. Sports fans can find a variety of RSNs to watch games from their favorite teams, and the service includes cloud DVR.
Right now, you can sign up to get $30 off your first month on these subscriptions: Pro, Elite with Sports Plus or Deluxe. Fubo's Spanish-language Latino plan has also been discounted from $33 a month to $15 for the first month.
Fans of boxing can scoop up unmatched access to boxing content for a lot less right now. The streaming platform is slashing prices by 50% on subscriptions, which drops the monthly price down to $15 a month (with a minimum three-month subscription) or the annual plan down to $10 a month for 12 months.You can also pay for the annual plan upfront instead of monthly, which saves you around $1 a month.
Cord-cutters who have been holding out on YouTube TV's NFL Sunday Ticket can score a one-year subscription for just $89 right now, which is a whopping $175 off the usual price. You can also save even more when you bundle the add-on with a YouTube TV base plan -- which typically costs $73 per month, but drops down to $50 for your first two months with this holiday bundle deal. Just note that if you cancel YouTube TV you will lose access to NFL Sunday ticket.
These discounts will be available through Dec. 2.
MagellanTV has a huge collection featuring more than 3,000 curated documentaries ready for your next movie marathon. While an annual subscription usually costs $60, you can grab a two-year subscription for $60 right now, essentially you netting you a 50% discount or offering a whopping three-year subscription for just $72, which means you'll be essentially paying just $24 per year. You can also ditch the annual fees and opt for a $160 lifetime subscription as well.
Sling TV is one of our favorite live TV streaming services of 2024, and right now you can try it out for half off. Sling offers two subscriptions, which typically cost $40 a month. Orange, which is focused on sports and family channels, and Blue, which is more news and entertainment-oriented. And when you sign up right now, you can get either plan for just $20 for your first month. Or bundle both for just $28.
Streaming services as exclusive membership bonuses:
- Disney Plus: Get a basic plan to Disney Plus for free when you sign up for Spectrum streaming.
- Peacock: Instacart is offering subscribers a free Peacock Premium subscription as a membership perk when you sign up via the Instacart app.
- Paramount Plus: You can score a Paramount Plus subscription for free with Walmart Plus subscription. And right now Walmart is slashing 50% off the cost of an annual Walmart Plus membership.
- Prime Video: This streaming service with plenty of original shows is included with an Amazon Prime membership. During Black Friday last year Prime Video offered deals on several add-on channels.
Other streaming deals happening now:
- Starz: New subscribers can get their first month of service from Starz for only $7. Afterwards the price jumps to $11 per month until you cancel.
- Curiosity Stream: Curiosity Stream delivers documentaries that cover a wide range of topics and right now new subscribers can sign up for a lifetime subscription for $200 at StackSocial.

Do Black Friday streaming service deals actually save you money?
Generally, yes. Many streaming services offer really great Black Friday deals. For example, top streamers like Hulu and Peacock have offered great rates during Black Friday sales. In fact, last year Hulu offered a year of service for just $1 per month. However, the caveat is that some Black Friday deals are exclusive to new subscribers, while others may only last for a few months, rather than the entire year. If you know you want to sign up for a streaming service soon, it may be best to skip free trial offers and instead sign up as a new subscriber closer to Black Friday.
Which streaming services usually offer the best Black Friday deals?
That's hard to say, as it depends on your preferences. However, it's worth noting that Netflix has not participated in Black Friday price cuts previously, while we've seen deals from Peacock, Disney, Hulu, Starz, Fubo and more, so there should be plenty of offerings to help you get access to new content at a great price.
